Road Closures Sunday for Rock 'n' Roll 1/2 Marathon

Hello Everyone,

This Sunday morning, February 10th, is the Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Pete Half Marathon.

The race route starts at Tropicana Field on 1^st Ave. S, circles the stadium area continuing on Bayshore Drive, Beach Drive, Snell Isle Blvd. and the Snell Isle Bridge ending at North Shore. The race begins at 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Remember to use 4^th Street to 38^th/40^th Ave. N. through Shore Acres entrance to get to the church.

VBS registration opens this SUNDAY

YES the time is here already...

SON WEST VBS is right around the corner

Dates for this years VBS are June 17th - 23rd

Registration for parishoners will begin this Sunday February 10th. Look for our table in the Portico outside the Sanctuary.

Work Day in the Library Postponed

What a Busy Week this has Been!

With all of the many preparations and hard work going into Mardi Gras I know we will all be very tired after tonight.  For that reason we are postponing the work day in the library until another Saturday.

A tentative date would be Sat., March 2nd.  We will confirm that after we are all well rested!  Thank you all for all you are doing! YOU ROCK!!

2013 Haiti Mission MARDI GRAS

St. Thomas gives a BIG THANK YOU to all who will be attending the 2013 Haiti Mission Benefit Dinner on Friday, February 8th at 6 p.m.  We also wish to send a BIG THANK YOU to the 2013 Haiti Mission Volunteer Teams. We really appreciate all the hard work, energy and support.

During the social hour, dinner and dessert you will have the opportunity to bid on over 25 grand silent auction items.  From Sunday brunch at Harvey’s to a weekend test drive of a Bert Smith’s Porche. Don’t forget your money or checkbook. (Unfortunately no credit cards accepted).

 

Thank you again and we really appreciate everyone’s support for this event.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES BEGIN

If you wish to be confirmed; have come to the Episcopal Church from another Christian tradition and want to be received into the Episcopal Church; have already been confirmed but would like to reaffirm your faith; would simply like to learn more about the Christian faith and the Episcopal Church; then consider joining us for an 8-week confirmation class on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Guild Room for both adults and youth.  We will meet from February 25—April 1^st.  Confirmation ceremony will be held at St. Peters’ Cathedral on Saturday, April 6^th.

Jr. Handbells is at 3:30 p.m. in the Guild Room.

Centering Prayer is at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

 

Wednesday, February 6th

 Men’s Bible Study is at 7 a.m. in the Guild Room.

The Holy Eucharist is at 12 noon in the Chapel.

Set-Up for Mardi Gras is at 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Supper, Song & Prayer is in the Parish Hall beginning at 6 p.m.  Everyone is welcome!

Godly Play is at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.  Godly Play is for Pre-K thru 5^th grade children.

Youth Group meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.

Godly Play Word Day is at 9 a.m. in the Library.

Youth Group will meet at 9—9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room.  Come and be a part of this great group!Nursery available from 9:45 a.m. in the Nursery.

Children’s Chapel begins at 9:45 a.m. in the Nursery coordinating with each service.  Children will return to the service at the Offertory time.

Sunday School is at 9:50 a.m. in the Guild Room.

Mardi Gras Ticket Sales

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket to the 2013 Haiti Mardi Gras Benefit dinner.  We have reached capacity and there are no seats left in the Parish Hall.

Ticket sales are now closed unless you have previously contacted the church office or one of the ticket sellers about reserving a ticket.

NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
