Thinking about Lent?

To be or not to be? That is the question.

What shall I do for Lent? Shall I give something up? Shall I take something on? Shall I make that change that I have been putting off? These are the usual questions that run around in our heads as we approach Ash Wednesday. Well, Ash Wednesday is here! Lent comes regardless of our choices or commitments. The  question really is will we be a part of it. How we enter into this time of reflection is personal. Choose that which challenges and inspires you heart and your faith.

What's Happening  for Children & Families

Lent Bags

Beginning the First Sunday of Lent, Lent bags will be available for families to take home for use throughout the season of Lent.  Each bag will contain symbols of the season to allow families to talk informally about the journey of Jesus' life, the Cross and the Resurrection.

Godly Play

During the evenning Ash Wednesday service we will hold our regular meeting of Godly Play. The children will receive ashes and we will introduce the season of Lent through the Mystery of Easter.
This series, The Faces of Easter continues each Wednesday throughout the remaining weeks of Lent including Holy Week and beyond Easter with enrichment lessons on Crosses and Easter Eggs.

Sunday School

This year we will follow Seasons of the Spirit curriculum with special activities focused on Palm Sunday and Holy Week. Our kids have great memories of washing feet, sitting down to the Last Super and trying to carry the wooden cross. We look forward to more new experiences this year.

Graced Based Parenting

Continues on Monday evennings through March 18th at 6:30 p.m. in the Guild Room. Ten part series based on the book and video series by Dr, Tim Kimmel.  Learn how parenting with love & truth can provide a balance in you home and family.
