SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VESTRY

Monday September 17, 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

In response to the following statement given by Fr. John in all services, Sunday, Sept. 2nd:
"When I agreed to become the priest in charge at St. Thomas it was with the understanding that the discussion on calling a new rector would take place between the vestry and me in January 2013 prior to the annual meeting. Actions have taken place over the past two weeks which indicate this is no longer possible.  The discussion concerning the next rector cannot be put off until January but must be addressed as soon as possible in the best interests of this parish.  Therefore, the future Rectorship of St. Thomas will be addressed at the September vestry meeting. if not sooner. If you as a member of this congregation, have any thoughts on this matter that you would like considered, make them know to us as soon as possible."
the date of the September vestry meeting has been moved to this Monday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. You as a parishioner are able to voice your thoughts in three ways:

  • You may write your thoughts by email or on paper and send them to the Vestry directly or to the parish staff and we will ensure that they are distributed to vestry members before Monday's meeting.
  • We welcome you to attend the meeting and to speak your thoughts or simply listen so that you may be well informed as we move forward in this process.
  • You may speak directly to any vestry member or staff member and we will make sure the information is relayed in the appropriate manner.
No matter your view it is important to the future of our congregation that we  all participate in this exchange so that we emerge a healthier and stronger parish. Please support our vestry and Fr. John with your prayers.

Peace,
Elaine
