SATURDAY NIGHT FOR THIS SUNDAY!!!

Tonight, Tweeting, and More

You and your friends are welcome tonight at 6 for potluck supper in the Parish Hall.  We continue our Lenten class -- learning to tell our faith stories via the Baptismal Covenant -- at 6:45 and finish at 7:30.

If you'd like to discuss The Bible while dining, the History Channel's new Sunday night miniseries, please join Father John for a discussion over dinner.

Spoiler Alert: The Bible's coming episode (Sunday, March 10 8-10pm) roughly tells stories of main characters (such as Joshua, David, Solomon) in Joshua, Judges, I & II Samuel, and I & II Chronicles.

Please tweet with us as you watch The Bible (and invite your friends to do so as well.  You'll need to have a twitter account and use #stthistorybible in your tweets to share.  If you need technical help, be in touch with Jay Shull.  Jay, Chuck Jones, Jennifer Ball, Russ Barmmer and I were among St. Thomas tweeters last week.

Finally, why is this post in Rose?  Because Rose is the color for Laetare Sunday.  "Laetare" is "O be joyous!" in Latin, as the fourth Sunday of Lent is the Sunday on which it's appropriate to lighten the reins of Lent.  Hence, the liturgical color is rose instead of somber purple.
